Extension of the Safe and Clean Water Supply Network from Makomero to Mgongoro.

Project Objective: To improve the provision of safe and clean water

Project Start Date: The project started on September 17, 2024.

Project Completion Date: The project will be completed on May 17, 2025.

Project Costs: This project has cost a total of TZS: 840,877,205.00.

Project Implementation Method: This project is being implemented through Force Account, Under the supervision of IGUWASA.

Works to be Implemented:

1. Excavation and Covering of a 25 km long Trench.

2. Carrying, Connecting and Laying HDPE 110mm, HDPE 90mm & HDPE 63mm pipes with a length of 25 km.

3. Construction of six new Water Pumping Stations.

4. Rehabilitation of six water pumping stations and connection to the Clean and Safe Water Service.

5. Connection of water supply to two livestock watering stations.

Works Implemented:

1. Excavation and covering of a 25 km long trench.

2. Laying and laying of 25 km long pipes

3. Construction of 6 new stations, rehabilitation of 6 old stations and two watering stations on the site and connection to water supply.

4. Construction of 9Nos. valve chambers.

5. Project launch held on 31/7/2025 by the leader of the 2025 National Torch Relay.
